Chiron - The Java Irc Bot
This bot has an interesting brain implementation making it almost programable. VERY versatile bot. Lacks documentation, needs sample brains - if anyone wants to help email me - topic Chiron-help
RSANetcat - The Encrypted Network Cat
A simple program, written in java so should run on all operating systems that support java. This program uses the a public / private key cipher to encrypt a network tcp channel, you can then send anything you want down the channel. Keys are generated and discarded each time its run, so no messing about with them. Please feel free to email me with any suggestions or comments.
Stegnate - The Free Stegnation Software
This source code will need a C compiler to build (optionally requires GTK1.2 libs for the optional Graphical User Interface). Use this to hide any data file in the redundant bits of WAV and/or BMP files. NB was developed under linux 2.4, with GCC 2.95.
War40kSim - The Free Warhammer40K Battle Simulator
Written in Visual Basic, this little application will simulate Close Combat rounds between different units. If you play War40k this simulator could help decide deployment, it uses the newest ruleset (4th ed) to calculate the outcomes, and supports most armies in the game. The current source code doesnt compile as I altered the structure and foundation alot. The source for this binary has been released by me, earlier. If I ever update this simulator i will release the new code for it... the code for this current binary is already public domain, i released it late in 2005.
Chinese Software - Important Notes to running
The following two Chinese Language Learning aid programs which I wrote require a slight setup.. The packages are jar packages these files for those who dont already know are like normal archive files (ie zip, gzip..etc..), with various features aimed at java programers, ie if you put your program binaries in one you can run your program from this one file, even tho it may contian many different parts. Double clicking this executable jar files from a conventional graphical operating system, should cause the program to run. My jar packages fail to load the data files contained. Just open the jar file in a conventional package manager .. ie winrar, and drag the data file out into the same directory as the jar file is in, now the jar files will run and load there data correctly. Data file for ChineseDict.jar is cedict.gb; and for ChineseCharTrainer.jar its charsfreq.txt
ChineseTrainer - The Free Chinese Character Training Software
This is a basic program so I have not realised it under the GPL, or even bothered to include the source code to it in the package. It will display a character and after a click its meanings, it selects from 3000 of the most frequently used chinese characters, you can set how many it selects from, and as the data is arranged in frequency order, you can learn more common characters before progressing to rarer ones. This is written in java so you need a java runtime environment to run it. Also to display the characters you need a gb2323 or whatever its called included in the windows xp eastern languages support...etc..
ChineseDictionary - The Free Chinese <> English Digital Dictionary
This is a basic program so I have not realised it under the GPL, or even bothered to include the source code to it in the package. This uses the popular cedict dictionary to provide thousands of definitions. This is written in java so you need a java runtime environment to run it. Also to display the characters you need a gb2323 or whatever its called included in the windows xp eastern languages support...etc.., also you will need to setup correct os wide character input method to enter characters to search, although this isnt as much of a problem, as you can still copy and paste chars or search via pinyin
